The Presidency and wives are lifelong Gila Valley residents.
Other Open House Information: Tours begin every 15 minutes. For your friends who may be thinking of coming, The Safford Chamber of Commerce has prepared a list of accommodations, parks & picnic areas for out of town vistors. Visit
http://www.graham-chamber.com/ . Of course our families have a place to stay. Between Safford and Duncan we should have enough beds unless everyone decides to come at the same time.
Tours are scheduled to include up to seven thousand people per day, with an increase of 30% on Saturdays.
Dedication and Cornerstone Ceremony:
President Monson, President Eyring and other General Authories not name will be here.
There will be a 60 voice choir for the Cornerstone Ceremony. Three different 20 voice choirs will perform at the Dedication Sessions. One from the Safford, Thatcher & Pima stakes. One from the Duncan & Silver City stakes and One from the St. David & Serria Vista Stakes. These are the stakes with the new Gila Valley Arizona Temple districts.
All the youth of the seven stakes will be part of the large celebration on the Saturday nite before the dedication. Kendall, Taylor and Russell are participating.
The Dedication itself, in three sessions will be broadcast in all the Arizona Stake Centers and may be attended by baptized members of the church, admission by recommend to the stake centers. There will not be any other services held on that Sunday in Arizona.
Derek & Becky, Danny & Marlyn and Jennie Lou & I have been called to serve as tour guides, we are looking forward to that experience. We will also get to be ushers for a schedule.
