A Poppie u lation of Poppies!!!

The desert blossoming like a ??? Poppy?
If you look through the bushes the mountains behind are orange with poppies.

I am afraid these photos don't do justice to the beautiful poppy population in our area this spring. It looks like someone sprinkled the hills with the powder that comes in the macaroni and cheese packets! I love the contrast between our local hills and mountains, and Graham mountain. If you look carefully in this picture, Graham Mountain is on the right, far in the background...it is all white. The orange on the sides of the closer hills are poppies, poppies and more poppies!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!!

a view taken from Virden Road

These are the hills by my house.

These are behind the shop at my house! I couldn't have planted this many flowers! It is so pretty.
I hope you all have a happy Easter. I love General Conference, and I love General Conference on Easter! Our families must be busy as we have been very quite on here. Hope all is well with you and yours.
We have heard something about Tanna coming to EAC to perform? Is anyone invited? Or is it only for High Schools or something? I'd love to come if I can.
What is new with everyone?
We are gearing up for Graduations for Kendall and Russell. Kendall spent some time filling out scholarship applications, and he has won one so far! We hope he will get some more before he heads off to school. He has also applied for some job opportunities in the Forest Service for the Summer.
Kendall and Tayler are busy playing tennis. Tayler was inducted into NHS recently and has tested into some college classes for next year. Russell is looking forward to Jr. High graduation and moving on to High School next year. He had fun going to San Diego to sea camp with the Knowledge bowl team, Kendall went as a chaperon. Nate went to Districts with his pinewood derby car and placed 7th among 35 or more racers his age.
The mutual aged kids are working on learning dances and songs that will be performed at The Gila Valley Temple Celebration. Everyone in the Temple district has had opportunities to prepare for service during the Cultural Celebration, Open House, and Dedication. Everyone is very excited, and often there are more questions than answers about all of the logistics, but we have been promised that miracles will happen...and I think it will require a few. hehe
Derek and I went to Washington DC, Derek for work, and I for pleasure! It was a wonderful get away. I have been released from my Primary Class and Cub Master calling and put into Young Woman's as the 2nd Counselor.
OK, I am rambling....but I am hoping to hear about each of you and what you and your families are up to!
Again, Happy Easter!
