Car of seven drove off Padre Canyon 200 ft. to bottom. Flew one out. We landed in the canyon. I stuck my camera out on the way out. What a kick.

Here is our temple! It has an angel on top now!!! I can't wait for it to be done.

This is my gonga deal I got on e-bay. Derek and I decided it was time to count the change we had been saving for FUN money. I researched surgers and was dreaming of getting a Bernina when I came across an auction on e-bay. The story is that this lady's mother-in-law was given this surger as a gift but she never used it. This was back in the 1990's. Now the daughter in law is selling it and she doesn't know much about surgers...she describes all that it has. The bid when I arrived was at $159. I called Derek to agree on a max bid, he recommended I call a Bernina store to get an idea of what I would pay in the store. They had 2 used ones, one for $999.00 and one for $1,500.00. So I put in my max bid and I WON!!! AT $270.75! I have been so excited. I think this is the first auction I have won. It is an OLDer model...but I am pretty sure it will be great quality and will last forever. The shipping and insurance I paid brought the total to $304 or so...but it was still under my max of $350. I was hip hopping around like a little kid anticipating Christmas!

Other Grandchildren

I can't talk about the Nay grandchild without also showing off ours! You all know how darling and precocious an almost 4-year-old and an almost 2-year-old can be. And, I don't know if this is kosher, but Little Swank #3 will be arriving the end of March. Lucky us!!!

New Great Grandchild

Raymond and Myrna first great grandchild, Cadence Genevieve Cheney was born on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. She weighed in at 9'12". I realize I don't know which hospital, but she was born in the Greater Boise area somewhere! Mom (Rachel) and Dad (Derek) are doing well.

Bruce was about to "pop his buttons" with pride and happiness. Karen is aware that Cadence was born and Bruce thinks she understood that it was her granddaughter. She lives much of her time in past memories. Bruce still tries to care for her at home, but sometimes he has to have her in a temporary situation at a care center to get some rest.
