Thank You
Thank you for letting us look in on your family. You guys are great about keeping each other updated on each other's lives. Although Cindi has allowed us the ability to post items here, we have a Ryan Rapier family blog that is hard enough to keep going on a regular basis. We are just excited to be able to keep up with your family and if you have any interest, we can be found at http://ryanandshannonrapier.blogspot.com/. We also have a link to Michael and Amy's blog as well. Thank you for the advertising time and thanks again for letting us keep up with your family. It is nice to learn about these kids that unfortunately are often just names due to distance between families. By the way, great costumes Jamie and Bob
We had a really great time at the Trunk or Treat last night and the kids are excited to go out again tonight around our neighborhood. I guess I turned out alright after all that brainwashing against Halloween that Mom did. I think if we would have had trunk or treating when mom was doing it, it wouldn't have been so bad. Oh well My kids won't let me not like Halloween, they're all pretty into it.
Harris Halloween Trunk or Treat
Happy Halloween!!!
Ok, this first picture is just one of those times that you think your kid is cute. Bryant has been on a I don't want to get my hair cut kick, and so we kind of tricked him, we had him playing the kids micro (game boy) and he didn't even bock at the hair cut. His face was glowing blue with the light of the game. Dang, were all of my kids this cute? hehe
3 of my kids said they needed treats for parties today for Halloween. Derek bought fixins for rice krispies, I added orange dye to one batch, but you really don't notice that they are orange, so the next batch I did green, and we added gummie worms, because their wasn't enough sugar in the recipe to truly qualify for a Halloween treat! LOL I didn't want my children to go into any kind of diabetic coma today, so I was making eggs for breakfast, Derek jumped in and added fried potatoes and heavily buttered toast, so now we will go into a cardiac arrest from all of the cholesterol, that is the appetizer to the diabetic coma we will experience tonight!
When we do pigs at the fair, there comes the time to write thank you letters to all of those who supported the kids, by buying, donating, hauling or whatever. They are all done! Kinsley wanted to help, so she was pealing off the strip and sealing the envelopes shut. The kids were good about gushing on her letting her know what a big help she was to them! It was cute! My kids seem to have an aversion to writing and after about 60 hand addressed envelopes they thought their hands would fall off! Poor things ;)Well, I don't have plans for Halloween yet, we live in a Halloween scrooge town and so it has NEVER been the traditional Halloween that I grew up with. This year, I am out of any desire to try. We never bought pumpkins, I didn't help organize a trunk-er treat. I don't even know what we will be doing tonight. We were invited to a party in Safford...we really ought to go, and call it good! I hope you all have a happy Halloween! We have a funeral tomorrow, and Stake Conference this weekend. I LOVE Saturday's session of stake conference. Does everyone in AZ have Stake Conference this weekend.
OK, off to shower. Have a spooky day!

Nate's prickly pear jam a big hit at our house
By the way, we are still enjoying the delicious prickly pear jam that Nate made and won a blue ribbon with. It is sooooooo good on homemade bread toast especially. Thank you Nate for making such yummy stuff.

Some interesting & fun experiences we've had.this past week.
A week ago (Sat. 9/27) we invited Janice & Grant and Danny & Bert to go to Willcox to AppleAnnie's Orchard. Danny & Bert didn't come because Bert was still feeling bad after her chemo treatment. AppleAnnie's is a big commerial apple growing place that has been put into production in the last 15 to 20 years. They have further commercialized it to make ends meet in the bad years. Like this year, most of their apples froze. They have currio shops, big 15 to 20 gal white mountain home made ice cream makers, a hamburger/hot dog place where they cook on apple wood. I bought 4 pint bottles of AppleAnnie's delights, 1 Candied Jalapenos, 1 Sweet Fire (sweet bread & butter pickles with jalapenos), 1 Green Olives stuffed with Jalapenos and 1 Cherry preserves. They are all really good. We had a great hamburger w/beans, chips, soda and apple pie alamode for $8. There were a lot of people there from all over. We came back by Stockton Pass. We hoped we could find to old homestead where we lived for a year, but it has changed so much we couldn't recognize it. We did see the big tomato highdroponic farms.
Thursday we decided to go up to Angle's Orchard. Jennie Lou has been up there a lot, her and Jack used to make an annual trip. This was my first time, as many times that I have been up Mt. Graham I never went down into Angle's Orchard. You go down this narrow dirt road just past Noon Creek and find over 130 apple trees of all kinds. Pick up a bucket and walk down little roads between trees loaded with apples. Apples of all kinds. In the 100 years they've been there, there were only two years they didn't get a crop. I think they have any kind you may want. We really were just looking for an interesting outing and thought we would only pick a few apples, but came away with two 5 gallon buckets full of several different varieties. I'm eating one or two a day.
Last night Danny and Bert came down and we went out to Dinner. We had a hard time choosing which restruant, so we dicided to go to Brick's, but it was really crownded, so guess where, yea you guess it Casa. We then went to the movie theatre on Lone Star and watched a movie. This theatre has a recliner and Bert could recline and not be in much pain. She is finally feeling better after her first week of chemo. She takes her next series on Oct. 13th. The movie was funny, Danny and Bert left afterwords and went to pick up their grand kids to take them home with them for the weekend.
Today was general conference, which is always uplifting. I hope most of you were able to watch it. It seems like each conference has talks on subjects that is very timely. Like a couple were about children with disabilities, this hit home, with Jennie Lou's grandson's baby. There were several subjects on how we as husbands should be treating the women in our lives especially our wives, so guys I hope we were listening. Pristhood Meeting was also very good, I hope you were there.
Didn't get to watch much football, there will be other Saturdays for that, this was much better. Tomorrow should also be great.
Nice pictures of the monsters. This one looks more like the Senoran Monster, a first cousin of the Gila Monster. Both are in our area. The black and orange are more pernounce in the Gila Monster, but I may be wrong. Both are protected.
Great pictures of the kids and their pigs, they did really great. The baptism was special, it was an honor for Grandma Woolsey and GrandDad Rapier to be there and be asked to talk.
This coming week is going to be a great week in the Woolsey family, Jennie Lou's grandson is coming home on the 8th of Oct. and will report on the 12th.
We love you all.

I like Blog Hogs.
I am sure I am not alone in that I love to see pictures that any supposed blog hogs would like to post. Thank you for posting since the rest of us - or at least Rob and I - do not have anything interesting to add very often. And now I will be watching my step around your house more after seeing that large looking lizard - I mean he looks like a good sized monster.
That picture of Hunter that Russell took is so good, he should enter it in a contest or at least the fair next year. It is great.
We were so sorry that we had to miss Nate's baptism. But, what a great Family Home Evening for your family and Grandma and Grandad. We were however able to attend the Greenlee County Fair the weekend before Nate's birthday and did get to take Nate and Kinsley on some rides, watch the animal showings and the auction and look at everyone's entries in the fair. Everyone did well. Jennie Lou got a bunch of blue ribbons as well on her quilting. We also got to spend some time up at Derek and Becky's with the younger kids and had fun with them in the backyard with the swing. It was also nice to see the older kids being so responsible and capable handling all of their things with their hogs. Taylor really likes to get inbetween those pigs to keep them from fighting, she showed her animal very well. Poor Hunter, his pig was being as stubborn as a pig could be and Kendall's pig was a little wild and hyper. I think Russell's pig was probably the best behaved most of the time. I enjoy it. Rob has to take a break here and there and see what else is going on. We also had fun watching Derek and Becky's kittens playing. Ours only play a little bit of their day and it's most Leonard pestering Raccoon or Grandma putting someone back in their place (usually Leoanrd).
Wish we weren't going to be missing Thanksgiving with everyone but we are headed to California for the holiday. We need to go again next year to get on the right family rotation schedule so we are spending the same years together.
We really don't have anything new or exciting to write about. Love you all.

Becky The BLOG HOG :)
I am thinking you just like hearing all about my family since you aren't writing about yours! LOL I liked these pictures so of course I thought I would let you see them ;) The dogs were barking today and this is what they found in our driveway:

After I took the pictures I loaded them on the computer and found that Russell had been playing with the camera and got a really cool shot of Hunter! I cropped it so it looks like he is flying, or free falling. I loved the care free expression, I think all adults in the world need a minute to feel "Care Free" right about now :)
